Gay

When little Gay came to BCM he was four years old and had HIV. He was extremely scattered and wouldn't listen to anyone. The staff started to suspect some kind of mental disability so we took him to the doctor. It turned out Gay was completely deaf. Because of his disease he had had meningitis and with that lost his hearing. 

Today Gay is six years old and it is time for him to start school. It's a challenge to find a school that would receive a child who is both deaf and infected with HIV. After an intense search for a good school for Gay we found a school in Bangkok to where he's welcome. Gay needs to grow and develop alongside other deaf kids to able to properly learn sign language and not the least gain friends with the same disability.
